Course Overview

Welcome to our course on Understanding Gender and Gender-Based Violence. This program is designed to deepen your knowledge of gender concepts, gender-based violence, sexuality, and rights. It explores various forms of gender-based violence and provides insights into creating codes of conduct, reporting mechanisms, and programmatic responses. Throughout this course, you'll engage with critical issues affecting education, health, and development related to gender-based violence.

Target Audience

This course is ideal for individuals involved in gender-focused roles or who are responsible for developing strategies to combat gender-based violence and promote gender equality. Participants include gender focal points, program managers, researchers, policy-makers, activists, women advocates, feminists, students, NGO and CBO staff, UN agency staff, donor field workers, volunteers, development actors, trainers, and government officials. 

Course Objectives

By the end of this five-day course, participants will:
